Geology Major - Suggested Curriculum

These courses are suggested for students who have the necessary mathematics background to enroll in College Algebra their first semester at CEU. Courses in high school chemistry and physics will also be helpful prerequisites for the college level science courses. If a student needs remedial work in math or science, the student should work with the geology advisor to determine a schedule. A computer literacy exam is required for all students. Upon successful completion of the courses listed below, the student will have fulfilled the graduation requirements for the A.S. degree from CEU, and should be suitably prepared for transfer to a geology baccalaureate program offered by a university.

Note that several of the General Education classes could be taken during the summer terms to lessen the
course loads during the regular academic year.
